Cisco SD-WAN (ENSDWI 300-415): What the Exam Tests
How do I pass ENSDWI 300-415?
If you are booking the Cisco Implementing Cisco SD-WAN Solutions (ENSDWI) exam, the honest answer is this: you pass by knowing where every piece of the SD-WAN fabric lives and what it does. The exam code is 300-415, it counts toward CCNP Enterprise, and it is a working engineer's paper rather than a trivia quiz. You get 75 questions in 90 minutes, delivered in linear order, which works out to roughly 72 seconds per question. That pace is tight but fair if you have actually built overlay tunnels, applied policies, and watched the fabric converge.
Cisco does not publish a fixed pass score or a scaled range for this exam, so anyone promising you a magic number is guessing. What you can control is coverage. Below is exactly what each domain weighs, and how a focused mock test pack fits into that plan. This connects to what we discuss in CCNA 200-301 Study Guide: How to Pass Cisco's Core Exam.
The six domains and their weights
The blueprint splits into six areas. Two of them — Architecture and Router Deployment — together with Policies form the bulk of what you will be asked. None of the six is small enough to skip.
| Domain | Weight |
|---|---|
| Architecture | 20% |
| Controller Deployment | 15% |
| Router Deployment | 20% |
| Policies | 20% |
| Security and Quality of Service | 15% |
| Management and Operations | 10% |
Architecture is the foundation: the separation of control, data, management, and orchestration planes, and how vSmart, vBond, vManage, and the WAN Edge routers relate. If this is shaky, everything downstream is harder. Controller Deployment covers bringing those controllers online, certificate handling, and on-premises versus cloud hosting. Router Deployment is the onboarding of WAN Edge devices — ZTP, PnP, template attachment, and TLOC handling. We recommend pairing this with Cisco ENARSI (300-410): Advanced Routing, Explained.
Policies is where many candidates lose marks, because centralized versus localized policy, control policy versus data policy, and the way traffic is steered through the fabric all demand precise thinking. Security and Quality of Service brings in the SD-WAN security stack and application-aware routing behaviour. Management and Operations, the smallest slice at 10%, is still real marks: monitoring, troubleshooting, and software upgrades through vManage.
What this mock contains
Be clear on one thing before you buy anything. The real 300-415 exam mixes multiple choice with performance-based items and drag-and-drop, and Cisco's simulated lab tasks cannot be reproduced outside their environment. This practise exam is multiple-choice and multiple-response only. It covers every domain at its official weighting and matches the 90-minute limit, so your timing rehearsal is faithful even though the item formats are not identical.
If your available hours are uneven, a free ENSDWI study plan can give you a week-by-week schedule that builds toward that timed rehearsal without cramming.
Because Cisco publishes no question count and no pass score for scoring purposes, this mock reports proficiency per domain rather than a single pass/fail number — inventing a score would be dishonest. That per-domain readout is actually more useful for study: it tells you whether your weak spot is Policies or Controller Deployment, so your remaining hours go where they matter. Building a study plan that survives the clock
Start with hands-on time in Cisco's SD-WAN sandbox or a lab, because reading about templates does not build the reflexes 72 seconds per question demands. Then use a Cisco Implementing Cisco SD-WAN Solutions (ENSDWI) mock test to expose the domains where your recall is slow rather than absent. Treat every wrong answer as a pointer back to the blueprint line it came from, and re-lab that task until the sequence is automatic.
A good rhythm is one full-length timed sitting, a review day against the domain report, and a second sitting a few days later to confirm the gaps closed. Our Cisco ENSDWI 300-415 mock test is built for exactly that loop, and a practise exam for SD-WAN is the cheapest way to find out what you do not know before Cisco charges you to find out.
