Taking the CompTIA A+ Core 1 exam in Auckland
The CompTIA A+ Core 1 is the same exam wherever you sit it. CompTIA publishes one blueprint, one time limit and one scoring model, so there is no Auckland-specific version to prepare for. What changes from city to city is only how you book and where you sit.
Test centre or online from Auckland?
- Test centre: CompTIA delivers this exam through Pearson VUE. Search Pearson VUE's test-centre finder for Auckland when you book; centre availability changes, so we do not list addresses here.
- Online: you can also sit it online from home or the office through Pearson VUE OnVUE, which avoids travel within the city. You need a quiet private room, a webcam and a stable connection.
Booking from Auckland: time zone and currency
Auckland is in New Zealand and runs on New Zealand Time (NZST/NZDT). Exam slots on the booking page are shown in your local time, so pick a start time when you are normally alert. CompTIA shows the exam price for your country at checkout rather than publishing one worldwide figure, so candidates in Auckland see the amount in their own region before paying. The cost and booking page covers retakes.

Before you book from Auckland
- Make sure the name on your CompTIA account matches your government ID exactly; a mismatch can stop you being admitted on the day.
- Decide between a test centre and online delivery before you pick a date, because the booking flow and the rules on the day differ.
- If you sit online, run the system check on the computer and network you will actually use, well before exam day.
- Book a slot in New Zealand Time (NZST/NZDT) that suits you, and leave time for check-in before the start.
