Our dp 600 practice test is a timed, multiple-choice and multiple-response mock covering all three DP-600 domains at Microsoft's published weighting, with a score report broken down by domain so you know which one needs more work. It reproduces the content and weighting of the syllabus; it does not reproduce any interactive, product-based components Microsoft says the real exam may include.
If you are deciding whether to sit a mock before booking DP-600, this page covers exactly what our practice test contains, what it reproduces from the real exam, and what it honestly cannot reproduce, so you know what you are getting before you take it.
What our DP-600 mock contains
Our practice test is 50 questions across 100 minutes, matching the duration Microsoft publishes for the real exam. It is built as multiple-choice and multiple-response questions only. Every question maps to one of the three domains on the DP-600 syllabus, at the same weighting Microsoft publishes for the real exam:
| Domain | Weight |
|---|---|
| Maintain a data analytics solution | 28% |
| Prepare data | 46% |
| Implement and manage semantic models | 26% |
Because the Prepare data domain carries the largest share of the real exam, it also carries the largest share of questions in our mock, so your practice time mirrors where the real exam actually concentrates.
What the score report shows
After you finish, the report breaks your result down by domain rather than giving a single pass/fail number. You can see whether a low score comes from Prepare data, from governance and lifecycle topics in Maintain a data analytics solution, or from semantic modeling and DAX in Implement and manage semantic models. That domain-level view is what makes a mock useful for planning your remaining study time, rather than just telling you whether you would have passed.
What this mock does and does not reproduce
Microsoft states the real DP-600 exam "may include interactive components" — tasks performed against a live or simulated Fabric environment rather than answered as a standard question. Our mock is multiple-choice and multiple-response only and does not attempt to simulate that interactive interface, since Microsoft has not published how it works. What it does reproduce is full coverage of every objective statement on the syllabus, at Microsoft's published domain weighting, using the same 700-out-of-1000 pass standard Microsoft states in its study guide.
How to use the mock in a study plan
A mock works best at specific points in preparation, not only right before the exam:
- Early on, as a baseline: sit it before you study to see which domain needs the most attention.
- Midway, as a checkpoint: after covering the objectives for one or two domains, retake it to see whether your score in that domain improved.
- Near the end, as a final check: sit it again close to your booked date to confirm you are consistently above the 700 pass threshold across all three domains, not just on average.
Our DP-600 study plan builds these checkpoints directly into 4-, 8-, and 12-week schedules.
Why domain-level scoring matters more than a single number
A single overall score can hide a real weakness. A candidate could answer most Maintain a data analytics solution and Implement and manage semantic models questions correctly and still fail overall because Prepare data, the largest domain, was consistently missed. A domain-level report surfaces that pattern directly instead of averaging it away, which is why our score report is broken out by domain rather than reduced to one headline figure. If you retake the mock after a study block, compare the same domain breakdown across attempts rather than only the total, since that is where real improvement — or a persistent gap — actually shows up.
