MS 721 Exam Cost and How to Book

If you are trying to budget for Exam MS-721: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer, the honest answer is that Microsoft does not publish one fixed number. This page explains exactly what Microsoft does say about pricing, and walks through how booking works.

How much does the MS-721 exam cost?

Microsoft's certification page states that price is based on the country or region in which the exam is proctored. There is no single published ms 721 exam price in US dollars or any other currency on the pages we reviewed. The only reliable way to see your exact price is to sign in to the official Microsoft certification page with the account you plan to book with, where the checkout screen shows the figure for your region.

Taking it from India

Microsoft does not publish a separate India price list for this exam either. The same rule applies: price is based on the country or region where you sit the exam, and Pearson VUE, the delivery partner Microsoft names for this exam, will show the amount in your local currency once you are signed in and selecting a test center or session. Do not rely on a price you see quoted for a different exam or a different region as a stand-in for this one.

How to book the MS-721 exam

1. Go to the official Microsoft certification page for this exam and sign in with the Microsoft account you

will use for the exam.

1. Choose Pearson VUE as the delivery partner, since that is the option Microsoft names for MS-721.
2. Select a test center location, or check whether an online proctored session is offered for your account

and region; Microsoft does not publish this detail for MS-721 on the pages reviewed, so the option you see at checkout is the current one.

1. Confirm the language for your session. Microsoft lists English, Chinese (Simplified), French, German,

Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil), and Spanish as available languages.

1. Review the price shown for your account and region, then complete payment to confirm your booking.

Vouchers

Microsoft does not state, on the pages reviewed for this exam, whether a voucher program applies to MS-721. If a voucher or exam-replay offer is available through your employer, a training partner, or a Microsoft promotion, it will be applied at the checkout step above rather than changing the published price structure.

Retakes and what a failed attempt costs

If you do not pass on your first attempt, Microsoft requires a short wait before you can try again, and a longer wait between any attempts after that, up to a limit on how many attempts you can make within a twelve-month period from your first attempt. Full details are on the exam-day guide and renewal pages. Every retake is a paid attempt at the same price structure described above; Microsoft does not offer a discounted or free retake for this exam on the pages reviewed.

Before you book

Check the exam format & scoring page so you know what to expect once you are in the seat, and the prerequisites page so you know whether your background matches what Microsoft recommends. If you want a structured run-up to your booking date, the study plan page turns the domain weights into a week-by-week schedule, and the practice test page explains how our mock reports results by domain so you know exactly where you stand before you pay for a seat.

Why we will not quote you a number

It would be easy to publish a rounded ms-721 exam price and move on, but Microsoft's own page is explicit that the figure varies by country or region, and rounding it would risk sending you to book with the wrong expectation. The only number that will not change on you is the one shown at checkout on Microsoft's own site once you are signed in with the account you plan to use for the exam.

Exam facts on this page come from Microsoft’s own pages (official exam page). Prices, versions and policies change — confirm there before you book.
