Our az 305 practice test is a 50-question, 100-minute timed mock covering all four AZ-305 domains at Microsoft's published weighting. It is multiple-choice and multiple-response only; the real exam may include interactive components this mock does not reproduce. Your report breaks the score down by domain against Microsoft's published 700-out-of-1000 passing score.
What the AZ-305 practice test contains
Our az 305 practice test is a 50-question mock built to the same four domains and weighting Microsoft publishes for Exam AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions: design identity, governance, and monitoring solutions (28%); design data storage solutions (22%); design business continuity solutions (18%); and design infrastructure solutions (32%). You get 100 minutes to complete it, matching the pacing pressure of a real scenario-based exam even though Microsoft does not publish an official duration for AZ-305 itself.
| What you get | Detail |
|---|---|
| Questions | 50, spread across all four domains |
| Time | 100 minutes |
| Domains covered | 4, at Microsoft's published weighting |
| Question format | Multiple-choice and multiple-response only |
| Score report | Domain-by-domain breakdown against the 700/1000 passing score |
Each question is written in the same scenario-plus-constraint style Microsoft uses: a business requirement, a technical limitation, and several options that all sound plausible until you check them against the stated constraint. That is deliberate. Recognizing the trap option, not just recalling a service name, is what the real objective statements on our AZ-305 exam objectives page are testing.
What this mock does not reproduce
Microsoft states the AZ-305 exam may include interactive components, tasks carried out against a live or simulated product interface rather than answered as multiple choice. Our mock does not include that interface; every item here is multiple-choice or multiple-response. It still covers every domain at its published weighting, so your score gives you an honest read on your design reasoning across the syllabus, even though it will not test you on the interactive screen format itself. Microsoft also does not publish an exact question count for the real exam, so our 50-item length is a length we chose to give full coverage, not a confirmed figure. The 700-out-of-1000 pass threshold in your report is Microsoft's own published standard, applied honestly rather than softened to make the mock feel easier.
How the score report works
After you finish, your report shows an overall score against the 700-out-of-1000 threshold, plus a breakdown by each of the four domains. A domain-by-domain view matters more than the overall number, because two candidates can land the same overall score with very different gaps: one weak in business continuity, another weak in data storage. Use that breakdown to decide what to restudy rather than retaking the whole mock blind.
How to use mocks across a study plan
A single mock at the end of your preparation tells you whether you are ready. Two or three mocks spaced across your preparation, alongside review of the objective statements you missed, tell you whether your preparation is actually working. If you are following our AZ-305 study plan, the plan places a first mock partway through to catch weak domains early, then a second mock near the end to confirm you closed those gaps. Before your first attempt, it also helps to see the format worked in full: our AZ-305 sample questions page walks through nine questions with the answer and explanation shown, so you know what to expect before the clock starts.
Before you book the real exam
Once you are consistently clearing 700 across two or three mocks, with no domain falling noticeably behind the others, you are in a reasonable position to book. Check the AZ-305 exam-day guide for check-in and proctoring rules, and AZ-305 cost and booking for how pricing and scheduling work through Pearson VUE.
