PL 300 Exam Cost and How to Book It

If you are trying to budget for Exam PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst, the honest answer is that Microsoft does not publish one number. This page explains exactly what the vendor does say about pl-300 exam cost, and how the booking process itself works.

Why there is no fixed PL-300 exam price

Microsoft's official exam page states plainly that price is based on the country or region in which the exam is proctored. That is a deliberate regional pricing model, not a gap in Microsoft's documentation, so do not treat the absence of a number here as something to dig around for elsewhere. The figure that matters is the one shown to you at checkout, tied to your account's country setting and the Pearson VUE location or online-proctoring option you select.

Taking it from India

Microsoft does not publish a separate, fixed pl 300 exam fee in india figure either. The same regional-pricing statement applies: your price is calculated from the country or region in which you sit the exam, shown when you book through Pearson VUE. If you are booking from India, the figure you see during checkout, in whatever currency Microsoft displays there, is the number to budget against, not a number quoted elsewhere.

How to book PL-300

• Go to the official Microsoft Learn certification page for PL-300 and follow the "Schedule exam" link, which routes to Pearson VUE.
• Sign in or create a Pearson VUE account tied to your Microsoft Learn profile.
• Choose a delivery method: a Pearson VUE test centre or an online proctored exam.
• Select an available date and time slot, and confirm your language.
• Review the price shown for your country or region, and complete payment to confirm the booking.

Test centre versus online proctored

Microsoft delivers PL-300 through Pearson VUE, either at a physical test centre or as an online proctored exam. The vendor's policy states the exam will be proctored either way; beyond the Pearson VUE scheduling link, no separate online-proctoring vendor is named in Microsoft's published materials. Choose whichever option fits your schedule and your ability to meet the online-proctoring room requirements; both routes lead to the same exam content and scoring.

Vouchers

Microsoft's PL-300 materials, as published, do not mention a discount voucher program for this exam. If a voucher or discount code is offered to you, verify it directly against your Pearson VUE booking flow or Microsoft Learn account before relying on it; this page will not state a voucher exists without it appearing in Microsoft's own materials.

Retake cost and policy

If you do not pass on your first attempt, Microsoft's retake policy requires a 24-hour wait before a second attempt, then a 14-day wait between any further attempts, up to a maximum of 5 attempts within a 12-month period counted from your first attempt. You cannot retake an exam you have already passed unless the certification has expired, and every retake must be paid for separately at the price shown for your region at that time.
